Av. Mehmet İlker Birgan

Mehmet İlker Birgan, Attorney at Law, graduated with honors from Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration in 2006 and from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2007. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Accounting and Finance at Marmara University Faculty of Business Administration.

In 2008, he completed his legal traineeship with the Istanbul Bar Association and was admitted to practice law.

Mehmet İlker Birgan began practicing law in 2009 and founded Birgan & Partners Legal Consultancy and Law Firm in the same year. Setting out with the aim of providing the highest standard of legal services across all areas of law and adopting the motto “Further forward, towards the best…”, he currently serves as the founding attorney of the firm, which primarily provides legal and consultancy services in the fields of commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, tax law, arbitration, labor law, contract law, family law, real estate law, associations and foundations law, and criminal law.

Having handled thousands of domestic and international legal proceedings, Mehmet İlker Birgan has a particular interest in commercial law, labor law, family law, criminal law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, finance, and capital markets.

In 2020, he successfully passed the mediation examination and became a certified mediator.

Birgan & Partners Legal Consultancy and Law Firm continues its professional activities with a network of more than 70 lawyers, consultants, and academics, both in-house and through external collaborations.

Mehmet İlker Birgan also holds the professional qualification of Certified Public Accountant and Financial Advisor.

Throughout his professional career, Mehmet İlker Birgan has served in numerous managerial and representative positions, including Chairman of the Board of the Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration Alumni Association, followed by membership of its Advisory Board; Vice President of the Istanbul University Alumni Association; Member of the Istanbul Bar Association Assembly; Bakırköy District Representative of the Istanbul Bar Association; and Member of the Executive Board of the Istanbul Bar Association Legal Internship Training Center. He has also held, and continues to hold, managerial positions on the boards of various non-governmental organizations.

Mehmet İlker Birgan has a good command of English.
